    Autumn Term 2

Welcome back Class 11 and well done to each and every one of you for making such a fantastic start in Year 6!

In English, we'll be reading 'Everest' by Sangma Francis and Lisk Feng to create a non-chronological report, and towards Christmas, we will be looking at Charles Dickens' 'A Christmas Carol'. In maths, we'll be getting to grips with fractions, decimals and percentages; in History, we'll be learning all about the Victorians; studying irreversible changes in Science; learning how to talk about our homes in French; studying Hinduism in R.E. and producing self portraits in Art!

In P.E., we have Miss Moss to get us moving and improve our fitness and we will also be working on our hockey skills!

We also have a very exciting trip to the Ripon Museum on the 6th of November for our Victorians topic!

This topic will run through our History, English, Guided Reading and Art lessons, so there will be lots of valuable learning on this trip!

Autumn 2 is always a busy, fun-filled half term as we make our way to the Christmas countdown - I hope everyone is ready and raring to go :)
